The Furnace: a glassworks

Corey and Leanne Silverman, partners in life and business, are the team at the heart of The Furnace: a glassworks.

Corey planned to focus on 2D art at NY's Alfred University... then fell in love with glassblowing. After a nomadic stretch of travel and studio work around the US, he started his own hotshop in 2007--which became known as The Furnace in 2015.

At The Furnace, we hand-craft an array of blown and sculpted glass items including functional items (drinkware, vases), seasonal items (pumpkins, ornaments), and sculptural pieces (one-of-a-kind vessels, tabletop and wall sculptures).

Corey manages a small team of skilled artisans who assist him in the creation of our work. Leanne does her level best to keep everything running smoothly and contributes her design perspective.

Shipping And Returns

We've been shipping our blown glass goodness around the country for over a decade now--and we think we've gotten pretty good at it. Each item will be carefully packaged in a mix of bubble wrap, recycled and/or biodegradable packing peanuts, and recyclable cardboard boxes to ensure that it reaches you in pristine condition.

That said, accidents sometimes happen. Should your item(s) arrive in less-than-perfect condition, please contact us within 3 days of receipt of your order. We will need photo(s) of the broken item(s) as well as photo(s) of the state of the packaging to properly resolve the situation. We will file insurance claims as necessary and ship replacement items.

We ship via USPS Priority Mail and UPS; which method we use will vary depending on the size of the box and the final destination of the shipment.

Return/Exchange Policy

Given the nature of our work, we cannot accept returns or make exchanges. Thank you for your understanding.
